An open letter to my Machine
To the most beautiful Machine,
It has been almost 2 years since I started working with you. At first, I was amazed to learn about your configurations because I never got a chance to work with beauties like you. They say that wine improves with age. I don’t know much about it but what I know is that our relationship definitely improves with each passing day.
To be honest, I didn’t like working on weekends because I had to go back to my old Machine. You are so smooth and efficient that even after so many years of work at the office, you stand strong just like a beast. Be it large datasets or hundreds of epochs, you have never let me down. In every task that I perform, right from forming data pipelines to deploying models, you stand by me like a supportive friend.
While pandemic forced people to maintain a distance among themselves, it brought us closer as I got an opportunity to bring you home. From work buddies, we became best friends in no time. After long working hours, you stream Netflix for me and help me get the latest pictures uploaded by my crush. Isn’t it wonderful that you know so much about me, my favorite projects, songs, documentaries, etc. I hope, one day you become so intelligent that you can respond to my letters till then I will work on the process of making you more intelligent.
If there is one thing that I will miss the most after quitting my current job then It will be you.
